“The loudest Sounding TV”

Verdict

A 4k 55-inch big screen TV with a whopping 108 watts speaker.

With premium looks, good picture quality, loud sound like a soundbar, and good pricing this is surely a deal-breaker.

Pros
  • Good Picture Quality
  • Mesmerizing Sound Quality
  • Premium Build Quality
  • 3-Year Warranty
Cons
  • Poor Bass

Design & Build Quality

This is a 55-inch big size TV.

Though it features 4k resolution so there will be no pixelation or blurriness but still, make sure to sit at least 1 metre far from the screen.

The bezels look extremely narrow or almost bezel-less to say it right.

Its backside is grayish-black in color. When viewing the TV from the back it looks like the manufacturer has tried to give some appeal on the upper side which is appreciated.

Viewing towards the bottom of the screen you will find grey mesh fabric with Hisense, JBL, and Dolby Atmos brandings.

This mesh covers the 6 built-in speakers from JBL.

Its stand is made of plastic and has good build quality with silver finishing.

Bezel-less design with silvery-gray bottom and silvery stand, overall looks absolutely premium.

It comes with a wall mount bracket in this box along with a warranty card, user manual, TV remote, and a stand

Picture Quality

Being a VA panel along with 4k resolution the picture quality comes to be really good.

I am recently seeing more and more companies using the VA panel. Though it is not as good as the OLED panel.

But in the LED TVs category only VA panels can give the best picture quality with high contrast ratio and deep black levels.

4K resolution on this 55-inch TV looks very good. One can find the genuinity in the picture quality by playing a 4K video.

I found the colors to be normal and not oversaturated or punchy.

The light bleeding or the halo effect can be observed in little degrees but it is minimal and hard to notice.

Its picture quality comes best in cinema mode but gets oversaturated in dynamic mode.

While reading the specifications one can find its 400nits peak brightness and 60Hz refresh rate.

It comes with the MEMC chip which is used to reduce motion blur by adding custom frames in a scene.

This feature is useful for watching sports like football or cricket matches. You can turn off this feature from the setting for watching regular shows or movies.

For HDR support, it features Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG.

You can watch HD channels from your set-top box. It upscales the resolution to UHD or 4k.

Watching 4k content is absolutely delightful and you can only get the maximum out of it with 4k video.

Processing

For image processing, the TV uses a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor with Mali-470MP GPU.

With this, it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Its chipset is specially tuned for smart TVs to provide a stutter-free and lag-free experience.

Connectivity

Most of the ports are on the side with ports for AV or RCA cable at the back.

However, these ports which are on the side are not very easily accessible when the TV is wall mounted using a flat wall mount.

I recommend using a tilting or full-motion wall mount. You can have a look at some recommended wall mounts.

For connectivity, it offers 3 x HDMI ports, 2 x USB ports, a headphone jack, an ethernet port, an optical port, and an antenna port.

Features

android OS on the hisense tornado tv

Comes with Android TV 9.0 Pie.

This opens the world of tons of apps to download and use from the google playstore.

The usual interface one gets with every Android TV. Easy to use and navigate.

Main apps like Netflix, YouTube, prime video at the top row with recommendations after that.

Comes with a built-in screen mirroring feature. You can use this feature using the screen share app in the apps section.

The screen mirroring feature only works with Android TV.

Users reported some lag while using the screen mirroring feature.

For casting any video on the TV screen you will need to connect both the TV and the phone to the home Wi-Fi then if the app which is playing the video on your phone supports casting then you can cast it on the TV screen.

Sound Quality

Coming to the most important aspect of this TV the audio.

It has 6 front-firing speakers from JBL taking the total power of the audio to 108 watts.

This is comparable to a powerful soundbar.

With the powerful speakers, the volume can easily be taken higher.

The audio is very clear and crisp with a balanced bass level.

The richness of the sound quality can be easily experienced.

This TV features Dolby Atmos which gives you a surround sound experience like in a cinema hall

Remote

Black color remote with the usual buttons for audio, navigation, etc

There are dedicated buttons on the top for Netflix, YouTube, Google Play, prime video, Hotstar, google assistant for voice control.

I like the fact that the TV remote uses Bluetooth technology. It makes life easy for controlling the TV.
