Types of Display

Picture quality is the main key point when choosing a TV which is dependent on the display

Now there are several types of display present in the market

Picture Quality: LCD < QLED < OLED

All have varying picture quality and contrast. These also vary by price with OLED being the most expensive.

CRT TV’s are the old box-like TV which is now discontinued from the market.

An LCD TV is also referred to as LED TV, this basically means a TV with LCD panel + LED backlighting.

Most of the TVs present and bought in the market are LCD LED TVs.

You should note that LCD is of two types – IPS and VA panel

Resolution

Resolution is also a key factor for deciding the picture quality of a TV
